If I don't have my own domain name, what names are available for use with my Integra Telecom e-mail address?
Both the integra.net and integraonline.com domains are available for Integra e-mail and are interchangeable so you can use either one. One of the accounts is set up as an alias that forwards messages to the other so you will receive messages that are sent to both e-mail addresses. For example, username@integra.net and username@integraonline.com are effectively equivalent.
Sending Mail
Why am I getting 'Error 553: Domain is not in my list of allowed RCPT hosts' when I try to send e-mail?
This error occurs when you are connected to one Internet provider but are trying to send e-mail through another. Possible scenarios are:
You are using Integra for your Internet connection and your e-mail is hosted with another provider. In this case you should use smtp.integra.net as your outgoing mail (SMTP) server.
You are using another provider for your Internet connection but Integra is providing your e-mail. In this case, you should use your Internet connectivity provider for your outgoing mail (SMTP) server. You will need to contact that provider to find out the appropriate e-mail server setting.
Why am I getting a 'Cannot find server' error?
Please check the following:
Confirm that you have an Internet connection. Open your web browser to see if you can access a web page. If no web pages are available, restore your Internet connection and try again.
Make sure the mail server name is spelled correctly. It should be: smtp.integra.net
Close your e-mail program and restart your computer. Try your e-mail again.
If you are still receiving the error, call ISP support at 866-871-1114 for more assistance.
How can I send e-mail through Integra's mail server when I'm at home or on the road?
In an effort to keep spammers from using our outgoing
(SMTP) server, we only let customers who are connected to
us send e-mail through smtp.integra.net If you are
connected to the Internet through another provider and want
to send email through our mail server, you will need to use
POP-before-SMTP. In your mail program, check your e-mail but
do not send e-mail. (do not use the Send &
Receive button in Outlook). Once you successfully check your
e-mail, the mail server will remember the IP address that you
came from for a period of 10 minutes. During that time, you
will be allowed to send through Integra's mail server.
How large of an e-mail message can I send?
Ideally you would not want to send e-mail messages larger then 500KB, especially if the recipients are not aware that they will be receiving a large message. If you need to send a large e-mail message, our network will allow a maximum email size of 30MB, or 30,000,000 bytes. Please note that an e-mail containing an attached file can be a total maximum size of 30MB.
How many addresses can I send to at one time?
Integra limits the number of addresses to which you can send messages to 100. However, once our mail server has sent your message to 30 recipients, you will get stuck in a "Tarpit". "Tarpitting" is a method of discouraging people from sending spam through our network. You may notice that the e-mail process slows down to almost a halt, but your message will continue to send.
Why am I receiving e-mail but people who reply to me are receiving failures?
This happens because of a typo in your email address when you entered it into your e-mail program. Check the account preferences in your e-mail program to correct the error.
Why am I unable to send e-mail from my hotel room?
Sometimes hotel ISPs block the traditional SMTP port that Integra uses for its e-mail transmission to protect against spammers. If you are having problems sending e-mail from your hotel room, you can use Integra's webmail at http://webmail.integra.net instead of your e-mail client as a temporary work around.
Checking Mail
Why is the e-mail program prompting me for a password?
Your user name may be entered into your e-mail program incorrectly. Most of our user names look simiilar to the email address, but replace the @ symbol with a dot. For example, support@integra.net would be support.integra.net.

Why does my e-mail program download some messages then seems to lock up?
This may be happening for one of the following reasons:
Your e-mail program is downloading a large message. If you cancel the process, you will receive all of the previously downloaded messages before beginning on the large message again. Try to wait for 5-10 minutes or until you receive a time-out error.
You may have received a message that is corrupted and will not download. The reason why the same messages keep downloading is that the e-mail program's job is to download all messages before it deletes them from the server. Since the download can't complete, the program won't delete the messages. Simply deleting the message, or messages, off the mail server will clear this up. You can delete the messages from the server by logging on to Integra's WebMail.
Why are my e-mail messages downloading multiple times?.
This may be happening for one of the following reasons:
If your e-mail client is set to leave copies of messages on the server, this may be causing duplicates. Removing this setting should allow your e-mail program to reset its list of messages on the server.
You may have two identical e-mail profiles set up in your e-mail program, one of which will need to be deleted. This will not effect the e-mail on your computer that you have already downloaded.
