Windows Dial-up Configuration
Introduction
This will set up your computer to access the Internet through Integra Telecom dial-up. These instructions will walk you through each step of the configuration to help the process move smoothly. It is recommended that these instructions be printed out and set aside for future reference.
Setting up
Close all open windows and running programs.
- Use the following path to access the New Connection Wizard: Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Communications >> Select New Connection Wizard
- The New Connection Wizard introduction window will appear, click Next to continue.
- Network Connection Type — Select the radio button labeled Connect to the Internet<, then click Next.
- Getting Read — Select the radio button labeled Set up my connection manually then click Next.
- Internet Connection — Select the radio button labeled Connect using a dial-up modem, then click Next.
- Connection Name — In the ISP Name field type: Integra Online , then click Next.
- Phone Number to Dial — In the Phone number field type your local access number, then click Next.
- Internet Account Information — Enter your user name (not email address), and password (twice) in the appropriate fields. The three checked options that are listed can remain, but are not required for your connection to work. Click Next.
- The exit window will appear, add a check mark to the box labeled Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop, if you would like it. Click Finish.
Conclusion
Now that the information has been entered into Windows networking, you should be able to establish a connection without error. If you have received an error, try to correct the problem that the error states.
