Each of the 24 available channels are capable of providing 64Kbps of bandwidth, giving a total bandwidth of 1.544Mbps. For example, 12 data channels would provide 768kps of bandwidth.
Dial-up access is not included with our T1 packages. DS1(T1) and dial-up access are two different types of Internet access. Integra's dial-up Internet access is competitively priced for unlimited access and includes one email address, which may come in handy. Give us a call if you would like to place an order.
This indicates that the issue is isolated to the local network, and not the DS1(T1) connection.
Integra has a speed test machine available for you to test your speed.
Most downloads are measured in kilobytes per second whereas T1 is measured in kilobit's per second. Here's an example if I was using 4 data channels (256kps) and downloading a file at 26k per second:
26Kb/sec times 8 (8 bits in 1 byte) equals 208 bits/sec, which is just what you'd expect to see.
