Mac OS X Dial-up Configuration

Introduction

This will set up your computer to access the Internet through Integra Telecom dial-up. These instructions will walk you through each step of the configuration to help the process move smoothly. It is recommended that these instructions be printed out and set aside for future reference.

Setting up

Close all open windows and running programs.

1. Click the Apple menu and select System Preferences.
2. Under Internet & Network, open Network.
3. In the Show field, select "Modem Port".
   Enter the following in their fields:
   • Service Provider : Integra Online
   • Account Name : type in your dial-up user name.
   • Password : type in your dial-up password.
   • Telephone Number : enter in your local access number.
   • Leave Save Password checked.
   • Select the Modem tab and make sure there is a check in the box Show modem status in menu bar. Click Apply now or Save.
   
4. Close the System Preferences window.
5. Click the telephone icon on the menu bar to establish your connection to the Internet.

Conclusion

Now that the information has been entered into Internet Connect, you should be able to establish a connection without error. If you have received an error, try to correct the problem that the error states.
