Mac Classic OS (8.5+) Dial-up Configuration
Introduction
This will set up your computer to access the Internet through Integra Telecom dial-up. These instructions will walk you through each step of the configuration to help the process move smoothly. It is recommended that these instructions be printed out and set aside for future reference.
Setting up
Close all open windows and running programs.
- Click the Apple from the menu bar, go down to Control Panels, then find and select Remote Access.
- Click Remote Access from the menu bar and select TCP/IP.
- The TCP/IP window opens.
- Connect via: PPP
- Configure: Using PPP Server
- IP address: < will be supplied by server >
- Subnet mask: < will be supplied by server >
- Router address: < will be supplied by server >
- Name server addr: Enter in the DNS server addresses.
- Additional Search domains: Enter in the domain integra.net, or leave blank. Any other options on the TCP/IP window should just be ignored.
- Click the box in the upper left of the window to close. When prompted, click on Save to save the changes.

- On the Remote Access window,
- Enter your dial-up user name (not email address).
- Enter your dial-up password.
- Enter your local access number.
- Click Connect to access the Internet, or click File and Exit to close Remote Access. You will want to make sure to click Save when prompted.
Conclusion
Now that the information has been entered into Remote Access, you should be able to establish a connection without error. If you have received an error, try to correct the problem that the error states.
