Eudora 5 Email Client Configuration Instructions
Compatible Operating Systems: Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP
Introduction
This will set up your computer to access your Integra Telecom email using Eudora 5. These instructions will walk you through each step of the configuration to help the process move smoothly. It is recommended that these instructions be printed out and set aside for future reference.
Setting up
Close all open windows and running programs.
- Open Eudora.
- Click Tools from the menu bar and select Options.
- Under the "Getting Started" Category, fill out the fields to the right with the following:
- Real Name: Type a name that will display to people you send email to.
- Return Address: Type in your email address. (i.e. address@integra.net)
- Mail Server (Incoming): Enter "pop.integra.net" (without quotes).
- Login Name: Enter in your user name. (i.e. address.integra.net)
- SMTP Server (Outgoing): Enter "smtp.integra.net" (without quotes).
- Under the "Sending Mail" category, make sure "Allow authentication" and "Use submission port (587)" are both checked.
- Click OK to begin working with Eudora.
Conclusion
Now that the information has been entered into Eudora 5, you should be able to send and receive email without error.
Configure POP E-mail Request Interval
- Click on the Tools menu and choose Options.
- Under the Checking Mail category, make sure "Check for mail every" is set no lower than 5 minutes.
- Click OK.
