Close all open windows and running programs.
- Windows 98/95: Open the My Computer icon on the windows desktop. For Windows Me, click Start, go to Settings and select Control Panel.
- Open Dial-up Networking.
- Open the Make New Connection icon. If you are prompted to add a modem, follow through the steps neccessary. When the modem has been added you will be able to proceed.
- The Make New Connection window opens. In the Type a name for the computer you are dialing: field, type "Integra Online" without quotes. The modem shown should be correct, if it is not, correct it. Now, click Next.
Type your Area Code and local access number in their respective fields and click Next. Click Finish.
- You will now see a "connectoid" labeled "Integra Online" in the Dial-up Networking window. Right-click it and select Create Shortcut from the menu. When prompted to save the shortcut on the desktop, click Yes.
- Close the open windows to clear the desktop and open the shortcut you just created on the desktop. Enter in your access user name and password before you click Connect.
If, for what ever reason, you are unable to connect the first time, you will need to reenter your user name and password each time until you successfully establish a connection. User names and passwords are case sensitive, are usually lowercase with no spaces.
If you need to dial the area code for a local call, follow these steps:
- Click the Dial Properties button on the Connect To window.
- Enter your Area Code into the Area Code field and click the Area Code Rules... button.
- Put a check in the Always dial the area code (10-digit dialing) box.
- Click OK.
- Click OK.
- To disconnect, open the desktop shortcut or tray icon, and click Disconnect.
