Standardized network architecture shortens time-to-service and increases network security and manageability throughout Integra’s footprint
Portland, Ore. – March 5, 2014 – Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, has upgraded its network throughout its footprint to deliver Carrier Ethernet connectivity over a single, end-to-end architecture. This Ubiquitous Access Ethernet architecture standardizes Ethernet access delivery from the carrier to the customer premises, making all the benefits of Ethernet-powered business networks – including rapid service deployment, reliable high-bandwidth connectivity to cloud services and multi-point networks, and seamless scalability of bandwidth and performance – available to Integra customers across its 35-metro, 11-state network.
Building on the company’s successful investments in Carrier Ethernet infrastructure, Integra’s Ubiquitous Access delivers the full portfolio of Integra’s enterprise-ready Ethernet services, including SIP Trunking, Hosted Voice Services, VPN services, Layer 2 networks, Internet access and business continuity services, via a single common architecture. Complete separation of Internet and private data further increases secure communications and simplifies management of bandwidth in alignment with business requirements. The access architecture has been engineered to eliminate single points of failure, allowing for maximum reliability required of today’s critical applications and data as supported by Integra’s aggressive service level agreements.

With Ubiquitous Access, Ethernet services can be delivered throughout Integra’s network with the access method that best suits each customer premises location through a common Ethernet Access Device (EAD) for plug-and-play implementation. Customers with direct access to Integra’s 9,400 route-mile fiber networks will connect via EoF; one of the 460,000 businesses served by Integra’s expanded Ethernet over Copper network will connect via EoC; while legacy T1 customers can migrate to EoTDM or to a partner’s Ethernet NNI; all residing on the same platform architecture. With a standardized network design across all markets, customers will enjoy reduced turn-up times for new services, particularly those with multiple locations on-network or those utilizing multiple Ethernet services.
