 Integra Telecom Awards "In Defense of Animals" Free Internet Service for a Year

Local Telecom Provider Selects Nonprofit Winner of its San Rafael Community Connection Campaign

San Rafael, Calif., March 10, 2011 – Integra Telecom Inc., a voice and Internet services provider for business, has awarded In Defense of Animals of San Rafael, free, high-speed Internet service for a year through its Community Connection campaign.

In Defense of Animals was randomly selected through a drawing last night during the “Business After 5 Mixer,” hosted by the San Rafael Chamber of Commerce and Circle Bank. Gary Phillips, board chairman for the Chamber, drew the winning entry. Entries were submitted by local businesses and individuals who responded to the call to nominate their favorite nonprofit for the giveaway.

“We are thrilled to celebrate Integra’s expansion in the North Bay area at today’s Chamber mixer and through the nonprofit drawing. Integra Telecom is committed to community service, and we are pleased to award In Defense of Animals free, highspeed Internet service for a year,” said David Martini of Integra Telecom.

The San Rafael Community Connection campaign is part of Integra Telecom’s Community Matters program, which supports initiatives and organizations that benefit the lives of people in the communities that Integra serves. Its focus areas are:
