Integra Surpasses 60 On-Network Data Centers

Fast-Growing Data Center Presence Enhances High-Bandwidth Service Options
for Enterprise and Wholesale Customers

PORTLAND, Ore. – Sept. 25, 2013 – Integra™, a provider of fiber-based, carrier-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, now connects to 62 data center locations across its network footprint, with connectivity to an additional 13 data centers coming online by the end of the year. Integra’s fast-growing roster of on-network data centers aligns with the company’s transformation to deliver a full range of high-bandwidth products to enterprise and wholesale customers, supported by the company’s extensive fiber assets.

The company’s expanding data center footprint offers Integra customers high-bandwidth transport via Integra’s vast metro and long-haul fiber networks between their business locations and state-of-the-art IT infrastructures afforded by commercial data centers.  With Integra, data center customers are supported with comprehensive Carrier Ethernet services, including private Layer 2 E-Line services for secure point-to-point or hub-and-spoke connectivity between multiple locations. Data center tenants can also benefit from Integra’s managed services for private networking and business continuity / disaster recovery (BCDR), such as Wavelength Services and Cloud Firewall Service.

Enterprises and other networked businesses increasingly turn to data centers to seamlessly expand content storage capacity, boost bandwidth for Wide Area Network integration and remote-office connectivity, and realize the benefits of private and public cloud IT solutions.  As Integra has expanded its reach into a broad array of enterprise customers, including those in key markets such as health care and professional services, growing the company’s network of connected data centers continues to be a business priority.

“As Integra continues to expand our fiber footprint and optimize our network solutions for cloud connectivity, our growing roster of third-party data centers represents a significant business opportunity and an ideal pairing of our network resources to the needs of enterprise and wholesale customers,” said Joseph Harding, Integra’s chief marketing officer. “We’re pleased with the acceleration we’ve achieved with our data center strategy and look forward to further expansion into strategic locations in the coming months.”

Integra’s on-network data centers include several locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington. In the California Bay Area, Integra is adding six new data centers to a metro region network that includes four connected data centers today; in addition, Integra is currently adding seven more data centers to other locations in its network, including four in the Phoenix area.

Integra estimates that the 62 data centers currently on its networks now extend to more than three million square feet of data center floor space.
