Integra Telecom Expands Washington Executive Team

Provider Forecasts 25 Percent Employee and Network Growth in Region

KENT, Wash. - Jan. 10, 2005 - Integra Telecom, a leading provider of all-in-one communications services for small and mid-sized businesses, has expanded its executive leadership in Washington to support continued growth. Integra has appointed Mark Blosch to the position of senior vice president; David Peterson as vice president sales; Jason Koenders as vice president operations; and Dan Stoll as vice president of customer operations. Blosch, Koenders and Stoll fill newly created positions in the company's Kent facility.

"These appointments follow Integra's core strategy of localizing operations and decision-making authority to ensure the highest levels of service to our customers," said Dudley Slater, Integra Telecom chief executive officer. "Our exceptional customer service, combined with a focus on serving small and midsize businesses, continues to attract customers throughout Puget Sound and Tacoma."

Integra entered the Puget Sound market in 2000 and currently employs 65 people in the area. The company has increased staffing in the region by 30 percent over the past year and has expanded its network in Seattle East, Auburn and Kent Ulrich. Integra is planning on increasing staffing levels by an additional 25 percent in 2005 as well as increasing lines in service by 25 percent.

As senior vice president, Mark Blosch will supervise Integra's customer service, sales, installation and operations groups in Washington. He began his career in Washington in 1990 with Access Long Distance, establishing and managing that company's Washington operations. Blosch joined Integra in 2000, overseeing the company's Utah operations during its expansion.

"I'm thrilled to be back in Seattle," said Blosch. "The Puget Sound area is a wonderful place to live and work, and I am excited about reconnecting with the local business community."

David Peterson will oversee Integra's Washington sales teams as vice president of sales. Peterson began his sales career in 1991 and joined Integra after distinguishing himself in sales management positions with the Washington organizations of SBC DataComm and XO Communications.

As vice president of operations, Jason Koenders will oversee technical operations and engineering for the company's Washington customers. An Integra employee since 1998, Koenders most recently served as the company's director of network operations and engineering for Integra Telecom of Washington.

Vice president of customer operations Dan Stoll has served Integra for more than four years, establishing the company's Utah organization in 2000. His leadership and focus on customer relations will guide Integra Telecom of Washington as the company pursues its growth objectives and delivers Integra's industry-leading brand of quality customer service in the state.

A Commitment to Growth

In 2004, Integra Telecom was recognized by the Inc. 500 List of fastest-growing private companies for the fourth consecutive year, charting sales growth of 541 percent since 1999. Also in 2004, Integra secured a $170 million refinancing package which established it as the first major competitive local exchange carrier since 2000 to repay its original debt funding in full.
