Integra Telecom Appoints Trent Anderson Chief Operating Officer
PORTLAND, OR - June 17, 2003 - Integra Telecom, a fast-growing provider of local, long-distance and Internet services for small and midsize businesses, has hired Trent Anderson as the company's chief operating officer. The addition of Anderson will enhance Integra's leadership depth by enabling an increased focus on daily operations and long term market strategies.
Anderson has more than 14 years of telecommunications experience and most recently served as chief executive officer of SkyRiver, an early stage broadband company in San Diego. Prior to joining SkyRiver, Anderson was senior vice president at Integra where he was responsible for the company's Oregon operations from 2000 to 2002.
"Our strengthened executive leadership will ensure that optimum management attention and corporate resources are dedicated to enhancing and growing our operations. Additionally, this expansion of the executive team will allow management to focus on strategic opportunities that will become increasingly available to Integra as our financial and market strength improves," said chief executive officer Dudley Slater.
In addition to his prior experience at Integra and with SkyRiver, Anderson has served as regional vice president of data sales for Electric Lightwave Inc. and held several positions with MCI Telecommunications.
Integra Telecom recently announced that as of April 30, the company has delivered on four consecutive months of free cash flow positive results. Integra is among the first in its industry, and the first facilities-based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) in the Qwest service territory, to achieve this important level of financial strength.
