Integra Telecom Names Vice President Of Customer Care For Northwest Operations
BEAVERTON, OR - February 7, 2003 - Integra Telecom, a fast growing provider of local, long-distance and Internet services for small and midsize businesses, has named Rob Smith to the post of vice president of customer care for Integra Telecom of the Northwest. Smith, who has been with the company since 1999, formerly served as the company's chief information officer.
In his new role, Smith is responsible for Integra's Beaverton, Ore. and Kent, Wash. call centers. Additionally, he will focus on refining the use of the operating support systems which facilitate order entry and bill accuracy. Smith will also develop new processes and enhance existing procedures related to these systems.
"Rob has been an exceptional member of the Integra Telecom team, and his new position as vice president of customer care will use the best of his abilities," said Dudley Slater, chief executive officer of Integra Telecom.
Smith has more than 19 years of information services experience, with consistently increasing responsibility in management positions. Prior to joining Integra, Smith served as site manager and director of plant systems for CenturyTel in Vancouver, Wash. Smith also served as the director of information services for CenturyTel.
Smith spent 12 years at Pacific Telecom in Vancouver, Wash. with various executive positions, including manager of data administration and supervisor of data administration. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Idaho.
