Greulich's Automotive

In the competitive world of auto repair and auto body shops, Greulich's Automotive, a AAA Approved repair center with ASE certified mechanics, keeps customers satisfied by doing the job right the first time, and operating the business efficiently to keep customers' repair bills as low as possible. The phrase, "Our customers determine our future," is more than a motto to John Jamison, general manager at Greulich's Automotive, who believes every customer is important and deserves to have their vehicles serviced and repaired right the first time, in a timely fashion, and for a fair price.

Mechanics at Greulich's Auitomotive use some of the most sophisticated computer diagnostic equipment available. This allows them to maximize efficiency, save on overhead, and labor costs. The company converted four years ago to an automated point-of-sale system with T-1 Services provided by Integra Telecom. This year, the company also consolidated its telecommunications and Internet services for its ten auto repair shops, three auto body shops, and Hayden Towing branch, with Integra Telecom.

Communicating between the 13 shops and the towing company was a challenge before Greulich's Automotive consolidated its point-of-sale, telecommunications and Internet systems through Integra Telecom, according to Scott Rugen, IT manager at Greulich's Automotive. "We've been with Integra Telecom for about four years, and it's been a great relationship," said Rugen. With the integrated services, instead of manually entering information about repairs and ordering parts separately at each shop, the information from all of the shops goes into one central system, which cuts down on paperwork and labor, allowing the company to tap into more discount buying opportunities. The reduced shipping and distribution costs helped Greulich's Automotive keep repair bills as low as possible for customers, and helped the company earn an A-Plus rating from the Phoenix Better Business Bureau. Before combining the telephone and Internet communications through Integra Telecom, Rugen said, "Every shop had its own phone service, and a different company provided phone and Internet circuits.

In the past, communicating between the shops was difficult, and when a problem came up, it was hard to tell if the problem was with the phone system or the circuits," Rugen said. "Now, it's a lot easier to trace out a problem and get it fixed, since we have everything with one provider, and one point of contact. "Our Integra representative is great to work with," Rugen said. "When a problem comes up, she helps us resolve it as quickly as possible." From a competitive standpoint, Rugen said he believes the services provided by Integra Telecom help Greulich's Automotive operate efficiently and meet the company goals of making repairs right the first time, in a timely manner, at a fair price.
