Marking their 60th year in business, 2005 was a milestone year for DSU Peterbilt & GMC, Inc. The company that first set up a tarp on Williams Avenue and began fixing trucks in 1945 has grown to become one of the largest truck dealers in the Northwest. With four branches across Oregon and Washington, DSU prides itself on high-quality customer service and comprehensive knowledge of all trucks, from the lightest pickup to the heaviest-duty Class 8 truck. They're "the trucking people's people" and they've found a like-minded partner in Integra Telecom.
"We chose Integra because they're very responsive, provide good service and they offer dedicated, high-level support with very competitive pricing," says Pat Howard, controller.
DSU uses Integra's local and long distance service to stay in regular contact with their customers as well as high-speed internet access and dedicated point-to-point connections to remote locations.
DSU provides service for all truck makes and boasts one of the most extensive parts departments in the region, ensuring that each of the trucks they sell to commercial companies and private owners, including Peterbilt, GMC, UD and Workhorse brands, can efficiently serve the transportation needs of their customers.
"In 1945 we employed three young mechanics who already had 30 years combined experience," says Howard. "We've been around a long time and have made trucks our sole focus - we know them, sell them and fix them."
Simply put, DSU is best be summarized by their mission statement, "…We treat the customer the way we would want to be treated; honestly, fairly and with respect."
